About Brian Kolstad
For as long as I can remember I have been attracted to design and technology. Okay, when I was really young I was attracted to frogs and leaf piles, but that’s another story.
I received my B.A.S. in Graphic Design/Print Technology in 1998 from Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston, Idaho. Did you know that Lewiston is the furthest inland seaport west of the Mississippi? Not many people do. Lewiston was also the capitol of Idaho until those “southerners” from Boise made off with it in 1865. Bitter? Me? No.
Sixteen years later I’m back in the LC valley, this time across the river in Clarkston, Washington.
kd70 is the result of working for my dad at stage KOLSTAD associates in the late 90s through 2002. I was responsible for designing all of the marketing materials for sKa as well as calling on customers in the San Fernando Valley and further north into Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo. It turned out, however, my true passion was for design and technology. The name kd70 comes from a shipping classification for shelving units and other equipment that is shipped knocked down.
